日本ハンガリー外交関係開設150周年を迎えた2019年、本商工会議所は設立されました。

現在、両国間の経済関係は未だかつてなかったほどに景気づいています。170社もの日系企業がハンガリーへ進出しており、二国間の貿易額は約20億ユーロ（約2,407億円）にも上ります。日本はハンガリーにとってアジア最大の投資国であると同時に、我が国の最高級食品の最大市場になっています。

日本とハンガリーは地理的には遠く離れておりますが、共通点は多くお互い非常に親近感を持っております。ハンガリーには数々の”宝”やビジネスチャンスがありますが、ブランドとしてのハンガリーやビジネスの可能性についての意識を高める為には、まだまだやるべきことがたくさんあるという事を理解し、現実的になる必要があります。同時にハンガリー企業が日本で成功するための将来的な見通しを提供するのも大事なことです。

新たなプラットフォームの設置は日本とハンガリー間のビジネス関係を活気づける上で非常に重要なステップです。本商工会議所が両国間の更なる経済発展に寄与し、主要機関として企業の皆様方のお役に立つ事ができればと願っています。

The Chamber of Commerce was established in 2019, the year that marked the 150^th anniversary of the establishment of Japan-Hungary diplomatic relations.

Our bilateral economic relations are booming, and they are now better than ever: 170 Japanese companies operate in Hungary and our bilateral trade is 2 billion euros (around 240,7 billion yen). For Hungary, Japan is the largest investor from Asia and the largest market for our high-end food products.

Although Japan and Hungary is geographically separated, the two nations have lots of common features, and we enjoy close and warm relations. Hungary has so many treasures and opportunities to offer; yet, we need to be realistic and understand that there is much more to do in the market to raise the awareness about Hungary as a brand and the business potential there. At the same time, it is also important to provide more prospects to Hungarian companies to succeed in Japan.

The establishment of this new platform is a very important step in stimulating the business relations between Japan and Hungary. We hope that the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan will contribute to the further development of the economic ties between our countries and act as an important agent for all.
